Big Apple Stays represents a significant step in my journey as a data analyst. Working with Airbnb data specific to New York City, I diligently cleaned and structured the data and created a set of informative dashboards.

Data Cleaning and Structuring

My first task involved cleaning the dataset, removing irrelevant information, and ensuring consistent formatting. This process set the stage for meaningful insights by making the data more manageable and reliable.

Dashboard Design

The heart of this project lies in its six dynamic dashboards, each offering a unique perspective on the Airbnb landscape in various parts of New York City. These dashboards unveil crucial information, including listing and host counts, price statistics, average bedroom and bathroom counts, bed counts, and yearly availability. Furthermore, the project delves into the top 25 hosts in each area, providing insights into their average scores, nightly prices, listing counts, host response rates, and superhost status. A scatter chart illustrates the correlation between prices and bedroom counts.

Neighborhood Exploration

The project showcases the diversity of New York City by offering a neighborhood-specific view. From Manhattan to Staten Island, each area is represented by distinct colors on an interactive map, allowing users to seamlessly navigate like a website. The map also highlights the top 25 listings in each neighborhood, adding a layer of exploration and discovery.
